Default Parker 8 gauge can you still buy ammo for it?

My friend just bought a Parker 8 gauge on a #7 frame with twisted barrels and is a hammer gun. He would like to shoot it once a year. Gun is in great shape. Where would you get shells for it to shoot. The gun was made in 1910. The Parker general forum guys told me to ask here in this forum. Thanks for any response. Brian

Technically no. 8 gauge industrial loads are still made but they have a " belt " around the brass making it thicker so it won't fit in a normal shotgun. These are high pressure loads. I sold 48 or so 8ga shells that had the brass resized to fit a shotgun. You'll have to check around on the net for the shells and if all you can find are the industrial shells I'm sure someone here could resize a couple for you. Then you'd just use a dowel or two for reloading. Good luck.

Precision reloading has once fired Remington and new primed Winchester ( ouch) in stock. Both industrial, needing re-sizing,expensive but what is not.
