Default BARREL LUG STAMPING QUESTION

I have a set of 28" VH 20 Gauge Barrels made in very late 1909 or early 1910. On the rear barrel lug the frame size "0" is properly stamped with the Gauge (20) missing as it should be. But there is a very small letter "B" stamped in front of the "0" frame size mark. I have scoured the Parker Pages and cannot seem to find what this "B" mark might indicate. Does anyone know? Thanks, Steve

The B stands for Bartholomew, an inspector in the barrel shop. His son (or maybe even grandson) Leon was in attendance at the "Meriden Homecoming" PGCA event in June 2003.
