The rondell engraving format is found mostly in C grades athough some B, D, and G also had it. As fas as I have been able to determine it is only from 1900 to 1905. I have a theory that it was done by a single unknown engraver. Rondell engraved guns are uncommon, perhaps even rare......they are seldom seen.

I know a local gentleman that has a CHE steel barreled gun that has that style of side engraving and a stag on the bottom with very unique line borders on the bottom as well. I have to get photos of that gun next time I see him.

Here is vey unique lok plate egraved name on S/N 1219. This gun is a dollar grade equivelant to a grade 2.

Cool, only two numbers before mine. Mine has the B prefix as well.

It is cool. Not sure if you can see the "Parker Bros" on mine, but it is a little different from yours. This just shows the variation in engraving styles from gun to gun, even with two guns so close together in production
