Check arrived Rick. Thanks. I could have sent you two bulk loaders - a Lee and a Watson - and a bag of empty canisters, but didn't get an answer on whether you wanted them. I can still send them if you like.

Interesting blurb on the local news this morning that back before WW-I postage was cheaper than train tickets and people mailed children under fifty pounds to relatives in other cities rather than spring for a train ticket.

Here's the tracking info for a Priority Mail envelope with a payment check inside, mailed to Steve Barnett LLC in West Point, MS.

Feb 10 - mailed at my local PO here in PA
Feb 11 - arrived and departed Phila PA Dist. Center
Feb 12 - arrived at Jackson MS Dist. Center
Feb 13 - departed Jackson
Feb 20 - arrived at PO in Steens MS
Feb 22 - back in Jackson MS Dist. center
Feb 24 - delivered to West Point PO and then to SB LLC

14 days in transit when Priority Mail used to take 3 days max.

USPS now has a service where you get an email every day showing what mail is coming that day. Well, that was a great idea and worked well for a while, but now what is shown as coming and what actually comes are two different things. Something shown as coming Thursday came Saturday. Something that came last week is shown as coming today.

Slow delivery is frustrating, but just as frustrating to me is the lack of tracking updating and information. I'm really tired of the "Your package is arriving later than usual and is in transit to the next destination" message with no updates as to where the darn thing is or what's going on. I checked on two shipments yesterday that were ordered on 2/9, scheduled to arrive on 2/12, still in transit, and the last tracking update was 2/10

Gentlemen ,I have sent a handful of items in the last couple of months and learned to send everything " EXPRESS MAIL INSURED " ,they guarantee it will be delivered by a certain time on a certain day or you get a complete refund of your shipping and Insurance charges ! It costs quite a bit more in most cases but it actually has worked every time ! I have sent items from Pa. to Illinois and they arrived in two days ! As an example 2 Day Priority Insured was 91.00 and some change and the lady said Priority was running three weeks behind ,Express was 161.00 and some change but it arrived four hours early on the correct day ! I mentioned to the lady at the post office that assured me it was Covid related why the mail was so far behind ,I wondered if she found it miraculous that if you were willing to pay more everything worked just fine Covid or no Covid ! She just stared at me like I had Two Heads !!!!!!!!

I swore by Priority mail and even bragged on their service. After multiple frustrating experiences most recently I switched over to UPS and just package it well. Did send a small package to Phx today by Priority mail. 90 miles away lets see how many weeks it takes to get there.
