Default Ithaca 16 Ga.

I know nothing about Ithaca doubles, but got a quick look at one in very good to excellent condition. Serial # is 263,396. marked 16 on the water table, but no grade mark. Modest engraving, maybe rolled, on the frame and above the chambers. No marks on the exterior of the gun to indicate what it is. Looks like Ithaca started over with serial numbers a couple of times, so I am not sure what this is. Perhaps it is a Western Arms and overpriced at $1000?
Going back to take another look and could use some advice on how to ID the model and vintage on this little 16 ga. that points really nice.
Thanks for your help!
Ron

Probably made about 1914. Without pictures it is hard to tell the grade. Since you say it is engraved and in very good condition, it could be well worth $1000.00.
