A small bore LeFever is a worthy project.

Providing that the bishop stock is a good candidate for your action, that is a very good thing to have with this gun.

Looks like a great project gun, and Dave, your custom DS is beautiful. I have a DS 20 and a DSE 20, both very light weight with 26" barrels. One has been re-case colored. Alas, I barely ever shoot either one. Both are a little unique, in that one has ejectors, and the other has all the features of a G grade Lefever with a fluted grip cap, LAC buttplate, and forearm escutcheon.
Good luck Dennis with a neat little gun. PS: the b ottom gun is a G grade 16 Lefever

All beautiful guns.
Where I live, Central Oregon, Lefervers are not at all common. I've seen four that I can think of and I own three of them now. Besides the DS 20 I have two twelve gauge guns, both damascus. I forgotten the grades, maybe G & H? one has ejectors. Both are fairly decent shape. I love shooting all my doubles, smooth or rifled, just need to find or make more time to do so.

They make a great canvas for sure ,this is my custom DS 20...i'm a lousy photographer I know ,it's engraved in a E grade style ,26 bbls, 6lb 4 oz and it has a few scars from chasing grouse this past season but a more pleasant gun to hunt I don't own
