Default In the family for 5 generations

Like to share Hammer Gun serial # 65,176
It has been in the family for 5 generations. Originally owned by my Great Great Grandfather.

The forum is very helpful in learning the history of this shotgun.

What I have learned:
Mfg Date 1891
Frame size 1
Believe it is a Grade 0
Barrel:
Weight 3lbs 9oz
Twisted Steel
30” length

And some pictures:

Jim,
You are a lucky man to have a family gun like that and in such very nice condition as well.

Looks like it was well cared for down through the years. Neat to have a piece of family history you can hold in your hands!

What is evident is that your ancestors knew how to take care of a gun!!!! Congratulations and I hope you pass it on in the same condition! David
