Yeah, unfortunately quite a bit is. It's sad to see. That being said I still enjoy supporting their made in USA stuff. But thats about all I buy from them and they're getting real proud of it.

As reflected in their pricing.....

Exactly what I was alluding to. They've about priced themselves out. Was in the market for one of their cases just to have a good case for my sxs's, something that does the justice to them, but to me a $400 shotgun case isn't cost effective. I am very happy to see that Boys has taken some interest in the USA made market and had Gokey make some cases and bring manufacturing back to the USA, at least for some of the line.

Oh yeah? I didn't know Boyt had made an effort to come home. That's good to hear.

Yessir, I was glad to see it as well. I guess there is some affiliation between Gokey and Boyt. Glad to see some Boyt's again made in USA!

Best,

Andrew

They do apparently. I think all the Gokey stuff is mostly USA made.

Yes, I do believe that is the case(haha). Per my google, Boyt does own Gokey. Regardless, I am glad to see Boyt's made in the USA (even if they aren't made in Iowa) and will always try to support made in USA companies/products over imported goods.

I've got some thoughts on this. I'm willing to pay twice as much to get a better product made in the USA. Not 4 times as much. Filson has long since moved into the 4 times as much category. I'm not a poor man nor rich man but can afford to do or buy most things that I really want within reason. That's because I don't spend needlessly.
