Default Parker 20 ga

I have a Parker double barrel 20 ga shotgun manufactured 3/26/1876. Serial #117076. I’m trying to find information regarding the gun and its value. I inherited the gun from my grandfather. It’s in pretty good shape, not excellent, but pretty darn good. I don’t have any intention of selling it. I just want to know more about it. Can anyone help me out?

With that serial number it was most certainly not made in 1876. That "serial number" you're looking at may be a patent date for the forend latch or some other feature.

Further, 117076 is missing from the Serialization book so it will be hard to confirm anything at all about the gun's features as it left the factory

There are however, factory records upon which you can obtain a Research Letter.

Kelly, your shotgun was manufactured in 1903.

Here is some free info. If I'm reading the order book correctly, you have a GH 12ga. with 30" Damascus barrels sold to a large sporting goods company. That's basically all you would get in the letter. Big difference between a 12ga. and a 20ga.
