Default Del Whitman?

Just saw a post on Facebook referencing a gunsmith named Del Whitman. (D.C. Whitman Custom Gunsmithing) The pictures posted show his work on some pretty fine doubles. The few reviews shown are highly favorable. No address given, but from the phone number I assume he is in northern Michigan. Anyone had any experience with him?

John,
I took a parker to him to look at before shooting it. I am glad I did, as others have said he is a good man. He has a lot of guns he is working on, and seems very knowledgeable.

Ditto to all the above. I purchased my first vintage sxs last year and he was extremely helpful in conducting the inspections, explains things, and performing some minor work after the purchases.

Del is a great guy and a very talented smith. You could do worse but it would be hard to do better.

Del did inspections on two of my English SxS's. In both cases he had to make parts to repair them. Excellent work! Explains things and really a nice man.
