Default Parker BHE; acknowledgements Mr.Flanders

Richard Flanders was kind enough to give me some very sound advise when I started hunting for my first Parker. It was something like 'get the best and highest grade gun you can afford'. I thought it good enough to pay an additional $2,500 and picked up a nice BHE 30 inch duck slayer.

Couldn't be happier with my first parker; thanks Richard. Would also like to thank Mr. Hoffard for turning me on to a good cork decoy maker and Mr. Densmore for supplying me with two good calls; the local mallards are much worse for the wear.

I found an old picture on the web (50's ?) and decided it will be the club sign (taking delivery from my buddy Jim in Colusa CA). The other side is identical but says Lucky Pair. The sign is rotated depending on the previous days shoot.

We leave 400 acres of the property as refuge and hold a good number of birds. We only shoot 4 blinds on the other 320; very civilized.

Brian, Thumbs up on your post! I guess John still has me in purgatory.

Looks like one of the bait girls that served us on fishing trips out of Newport, OR 40 years ago.

Thanks Brian. First I've seen the gun. Nice! The dogs on the sides are incredible. As the old knight said to Indie in the movie, "you have chosen well".... Looks like good duck hunting too. I think I better find a way to take you up on your offer to join you sometime!!

What a feeling to have someone say 'nice gun' who really knows what they are talking about. Appreciate the supportive comments from all of you.

Hey Kurt, the floor plate has a pair of Mallards flying over some tules. It's a neat marsh scene.
