Default Northern Plains

Hunted last week in South Dakota. High winds to 35 a couple days then light snow. Did fine.

PGCA members Charlie Herzog, Wayne Drury, Wayne Schweigert, Dave Weber, Russ Lindsay, Dick Dow, Jeff Kuss, Rich Flanders , Tom Wooden and Bruce Day.
A three day hunt for half the bunch then four of us stayed for two more to hunt in the snow. Then two of us drove south to Kansas to help a buddy and guide his business clients on pheasant and quail. Walked 5 to 10 miles per day. People had an opportunity to get their limit of three birds per day. Not a preserve, all wild birds ,roosters only.

Lady from the newspaper came out to interview us and take photos of a few of the old Parkers.

Photo of the bunch at midday.

Picture of Peter Johnson's old D, now owned by one of the guys.

It was indeed some wide open country and we saw more pheasants in a few days than I've seen in a lifetime, I think. I even managed to hit a few.

A couple more pics of this hunt.

Good job Richard!.....Looks like it was a great hunt. We head to Kansas Friday A.M. The weather outlook is good, hope we do not get them hard to hunt windy days. Been there dune that...They say the quail numbers are also good and we always get into some quail. I really like to hunt wild quail! This will be our first time back there since 2012 and that was a bum year, the drought had took its toll. I will report back about the hunt. SXS Ohio....(-:
