I just spoke with CSMC, they will not fit the barrels. They refered me to Doug Turnbull. I was told the barrels could not be returned.

It doesn't surprise me that CSMC won't fit them and that CSMC won't accept return of these barrels either.

I wonder if CSMC will allow returns if someone simply doesn't like them even before any attempt is made to fit them???..... probably not.

That is a correct assumption.

I would really love to have these barrels to add to a set.

I have no experience with anyone that purchased any of the aftermarket barrels that CSMC has sold for Repro's. The temptation is great, but I don't want to drop $2500 on barrels that aren't all that one would want them to be.

Are there lots of happy customers? Anyone?

Although there is no sworn allegiance to CSMC they are one of our advertisers and rather than getting too deeply involved in something that would be difficult to back out of here I would suggest looking into archived discussions about CSMC's Parker barrels over on the doublegunshop.com BBS. There is no shortage of opinions and experienced recommendations regarding these barrels over on that website. JMHO, Dean

If past performance is a gauge, I believe CSM would likely accept a return of barrels if they did not meet expectations of the customer upon inspection. No fitting/alterations of course.

It would tickle me if they brought a few sets to the Southern or to the Northeast Shoot for us to see and try on our guns. If, by any chance, a set almost clicked on, I would pay right there.

Yup, me too - but I'm betting that doesn't happen. All orders must be prepaid so I don't think they'll have any available for examination at any venue except right there in New Britain at the shop.
