Default 20 ga Trojan Case Colors by Brad B.

This is a nice little 20 ga Trojan I picked up awhile back for my grandson when he turns 12 (he's now 8 so I have some time to have fun with this little 20).

Took it grouse and woodcock hunting in Minnesota this past season and had more fun with it than my Greener.
Ser# 21045 1924 mfg. 26" bbls Mod/Imp chokes.

I shipped it to Brad last year and after Brad had a chance to evaluate it we discussed and agreed to the following work; strip and clean action, re case colors, re-blue trigger guard, re-blue barrels, install recoil pad and install shield (my plan is to have my grandson's initials engraved prior to gifting it) No work on the wood or checkering was necessary.

The pictures are the best I can obtain with my camera so I hope they do justice to Brad's work as I have been very pleased with all the restorative work Brad and his Team have done for me these past years. Brad's work and just as importantly, he is a pure pleasure to work with.

That's a great looking, and I'm sure great shooting, 20 ga. The case colors are perfect.
Your grandson will be beside himself when he gets handed this! Good job of bringing a young man into the fold. I imagine he's rather knowledgeable already isn't he?

He's anxious to get his hands on it but at 8 yrs old, he's much too young yet. Logan does however sit beside me in our turkey blind when we hunt Spring turkeys. I also have a brand new, never used and in the original box Buck Bird Knife that he'll get when his Mom says it's ok. He has already most of my grouse hunting books

Allen, Nice smallbore. I have 20ga. Trojan done very nicely by Turnbull that is exactly like yours. Sweet gun. Your job for the next 4 years is to give that little gun some patina.

I have a very nice 12 ga Damascus GH that Brad lovingly restored for me. Dan Cullity (who lives about 8 miles from me) is presently fitting a second barrel set but when I have it back I'll be happy to post pics of the original Damascus barrels that Brad brought back to life for all to see his work on this 1890's Parker.

When I was 12 years old I would have flipped over such a wonderful gun.
I'm sure that it will mean that much more to him seeing you using the gun over the next 3-4 years.
Congratulations to both of you!
