If I'm there the Editor's Gun will be there - and I plan to be there.

Very cool idea from Austin. It sounds like quite an interesting gun Dean. Can't wait to see it. Did it start out as a complete gun, and each person just replaces a part?

Mike, I don't know the complete history of this gun but I suspect it started getting replacement parts when the barrels Twist were replaced by the Vulcan barrels. And who knows why? Possibly the original barrels were compromised or maybe the owner of the gun at that time simply wanted fluid steel barrels - I don't know. The gun belonged to Robin Lewis and he sold it to Austin so maybe Robin can shed some light on the history of The Editor's Gun.

I saw the gun at Addieville 2 weeks ago. It is very cool and when laced with the tradition involved it is remarkable.
Dean is a good caretaker. Deano-what will be your addition? |

I have already added the A Grade forend tip which the PGCA used as the motif for the Distinguished Service Pin. I will send it out to be engraved with a 'scribe's quill' and oval design that will be taken from Austin's Cintributor's Pin that he gave to each contributor to Parker Pages. It will be engraved "The Editors Gun" beneath the scribe's quill.
