Default Invincible 00 grade forend

I just recently purchased this forend, that was advertised as BH grade small bore forend. I have confirmed that it is indeed a 00 frame, hammerless, extractor piece, but not BH, but Invincible Grade carving and checkering. This has been on a gun, but remains in remarkable condition, but the serial number and frame stamp are sanded off. The style is VERY similar to "230329"...

SO, my question is...was this made to upgrade an existing gun?

I saw that forend on-line for a while. It is not original.

I wonder what a good stock person would charge you to make it today?

That is the plan for now....if I found someone that had a better use for it, I would consider some barter. I think I found a buttstock for the gun, and the coloration looks good, although the invincible forearm is definitely over the top....but at this point, the charm of this 2 barrel set I am putting together are the parts making it up. I am building the gun to honor my departed younger brother, who, as a “scrapper” put me to shame!! He would have appreciated the re-purposing. I know none of it makes sense! But since it is my project, it does not have to!!

Most of us have spoken that language at some point. I speak it fluently unfortunately.
