Default Parker 16ga. Ammo. ?

Question for you 16ga. guys.
What 2 1/2” ammo. should I start out with?
I’m thinking a 1oz. paper load in the RST or New Era brand.

I shoot a D grade 16 hammer and just love the RST 2 1/2 lite , a plastic shell.

I've used both and both are equally outstanding!

Brian Erickson of New Era will load you specialty loads if needed.

Next question:
What shot charge do ya’ll find give the best results?
Hopefully this is not coming across as a dumb question.
Please do keep in mind I have never owned or even fired a .16 gauge.

Mike, that's a subjective question. What do you intend to shoot with your 'new' 16 ga.?
Different guns produce different results with different loads...... does that make sense?

Well, you'll have to experiment with different loads to determine which loads perform best with your gun.

Clays till Sept. Then Dove.
Maybe ordering a mixed flat would be a good idea to start out with.

My preference would be RST 2 1/2 Lites loaded with #8 shot for both.

I'll second that.. I also tried the Polywad 2.5" Vintager with #7.5, but like the RSTs #8 a bit better.
