I don't know if it was merely a name change or not. I have been using it for light 7/8 oz. 12 ga loads. It has been working well for me - clean, low recoil, relatively low pressure, and the charge rate was low making a pound go further. Now, it seems, they have quit making it. At least it is no longer listed on the Win. website. Figures, once I find something I like, it gets scrapped. Oh well, there are alternatives. I just hate changing things all the time.

That's kinda the way I felt when they did away with 452AA and 473AA . When I quit loading shotshells 20 or so years ago I had gotten to where I was comfortable with WSL in place of 452AA and WSF in the place of 473AA . Now that I've gotten back to loading all gauges they've done away with WSL and my old 28 gauge stand by WIN 540 . Well atleast they still make 296 !

Craig,
Don't give up on the 540, It's know as HS-6 now.
Getting pretty available around here.

Gary, I have 4 1 lb bottles of W AA Lite that I bought to load light 12 ga--but I rarely shoot a 12. I could do w/o a couple bottles, but dont think we can mail them w/o paying hazardous material fees. I will be at the Southern and NE SXS shoots next year

Harold, I live in northcentral PA, quite some distance from you. I appreciate the offer and will take whatever you care to let go. Since I am in no great hurry for it the shoot at Haussmans next spring will do me fine. So, keep me in mind please and I'll hope to get it from you then. Thanks for the offer.
