Default Minnesota duck opener

Jim Beilke and my self hunted ducks in sw Minnesota this morning. The day started with a thunder storm and temps by mid day were in the 80’s, not great duck weather. My 16 sterlingworth (recognize Dudley) and jim’s 12 Trojan managed the task nicely with a mix of bismuth, itx shot, and tungsten matrix.

It was a good day Matt. Duck numbers around here sure aren't like the "old days" no matter what the Fish and Wildlife service says. Always fun to be "out there" amongst them. Thanks

I’m just below you guys in NW Iowa. Ducks open this coming Saturday. It seems there are many more big ducks around than last year. Probably due to very wet spring. We shoot most ducks incidental to goose hunting. Best of luck guys. Take ‘em!

Jeff, I hope you are well. Still heading to Kansas for quail this year? Good shooting for your duck opener.

It was a great outing. It's not to often to shoot a limit of birds in SW MN.
