Default Greener Short 10

I was out with my 1882 Greener hammer gun yesterday on the clays course. The 19.0 grains of Red Dot and 1&1/8 oz shot ( I used 7.5) is a great load for clays! Crushed them and more than a few disappeared. Low recoil and even with the mod and improved barrels they performed very well. No problems with 45+ yard targets. The reformulated Red Dot is a still a bit dirty but clean up is not difficult and of no consideration based on the performance of the load. Great to have a nice balanced load for the course with these great guns.

I use a similar load for 1 & 1/8 ounces of shot, but switch to 21 grains of Clays when upping the payload to 1 & 1/4 ounces. Low pressure and mild recoil in my 10 pound 10 gauge.
