Default MI opener

The weather forecast for Oscoda County for the 15th and the next few days couldn't be better. Highs in the mid 50s with little chance of precip and a killer frost Thursday night; might knock down some of the ferns. The pups and I are loading up and going.

I'll be in the Grayling area on Friday for the weekend and then over to the Baldwin area the following weekend. Hopefully I'll be in the Upper Pennisula in October.

Tis the season

Rich - If you're going to be in the Lovells area, don't plan on eating at "Maggie's" - Closed since spring.

I won't be far from there. I always stop by Caids grocery and get a dozen of their hot sausages. The Riverside Tavern has a good burger or at least they used to.

My family had a cabin on KP Lake for many years.

The Riverside is now offering a Bloody Mary bar on Thurs/Sat/Sun morning. Just what you need to be ready for the grouse hunt. You might want to stop in Kelloggs One Stop which is down from Lovells at North Down River Road. Wider selection of stuff, including homemade pizza
