Default 111205 DH Back in Action

I bought 111205 from a seller on this forum's For Sale section. It is believed to be have belonged to JH Stair. JH Stair was a competitive shooter and duck hunter. The gun had charisma for me, 30" F/F, factory 3" chamber, factory Silver's pad, hickory rod, J.H.S factory engraved on the trigger guard, trap comb and a very rare and early Monte Carlo stock with nice dimensions and the asking price was a bargain!. The gun had bad screw slots, the wood was absent most of it's finish and the pad was rock hard and missing it's plugs. I added finish to the wood and installed a new Silvers pad on it's original curved butt. Brain Dudley repaired or replaced all the action screws and re-cut the checkering. Brain did an excellent job and I think the old gun looks respectable for a shooter with some cool features. I have less than $2300. into the gun, the Parker For Sale forum is a good place to buy in my opinion. Craig

The recutting of the checkering is impressive. The recutting of the mullering is very nice as well. It looks like Brian burnished the pyramids of the checkering too for a more aged appearance. Well done!

not many 3 inch parkers out there....it will be tough on the stock and the shooter if 3 inch magnums are shot in this gun...i have a 3 inch chambered lc smith with modified choke that i have shotsteel duck loads in it and a few 2 ounce turkey loads in it..no harm to gun barrel or stock yet...you do have to put a limb saver on it...charlie
