Ken I started out using a Mec Sizemaster with the short kit. I shoot quite a bit and had Mec make me their 9000 progressive loader for the 2.5 inch hull. I have one in 16 & 20 and he 12 will be next. If you shoot a lot this is the way to go.

Remington hulls, Win 209, Claybuster 7/8 oz wad and 18.3 grns Clay Dot. Approx 6,500 psi. the 3/4 oz load works great as well. All the pellets arrive at the same time, nice patterns.

Claybuster wads for 12ga 7/8oz is CB-0178-12 and for the 3/4oz is the CB-0134-12. They include data in the 3/4oz bag - Red Dot is one of them. Promo loads the same as Red Dot and is about the cheapest powder anywhere. Everyone has their favorite powder - I bought 8#'s of Clay Dot but sold it to my buddy - I thought it kicked more than 700X or Promo - he thought the opposite. My last order was for 16#s of Promo, so I'll be using that in my 12s and 10s for a bit. A 3/4oz load in the 12 is easy on the shoulder and the wallet.
