John, I believe that gun will serve you well for your intended purpose. Very nice looking and if it fits you, you are way ahead of the game.

I think so too. I have no doubt it doesn't conform to some people's opinion on here, but for nothing else, it will make a good parts gun for what I got it for. My original post was to try to find out who may have done the stockwork to try and research who may have been the original owner, as they evidently passed away and the son dropped this gun off to be sold. It will hopefully serve well to drag through the duck swamp and rabbit fields, and I doubt the game will care one bit if it correctly replicates what a DH grade stock should look like....

That ain’t no parts gun. If a gun fits me and I shoot it well, I could care less about originality. The name of the game is hitting your targets consistently, be they clay or feathered. If you’re looking for a collectible, different story.

That’s just my personal opinion.

I agree 100% John. If a gun doesn't fit and I can't hit anything with it, I don't care what it looks like, it's useless as a tool. May be pretty to look at, but useless for what it's made to be used for.

If it’s for gunning then who cares. If it’s to put in your safe then take it out and pet it once a year then the OG posting on here are correct.
