The Federal wad is intended for straight walled hulls, such as the Federal Gold Medal and Federal paper hulls. If you use them in the AA hull they will not seat correctly, nor will they in a Remington STS or Nitro 27, all three of which are inside tapered hulls. Switching components around because you have only certain hulls, wads, primers etc. is not a good idea.

Yes Jhon. That is what I intended was to use the win load in a paper federal hull by substituing the aa wad for a federal load.

Not sure what you meant - think you were saying " to substitute a Federal wad for the AA wad " and use the load data from Win load. In load data from Federal they use another grain or so of powder for the paper hull. As John said, use the tapered wad in Win and Rem hulls, the straight wad in Fed hulls. Using a tapered wad in a Fed hull will work, but powder can leak by giving you weak or blooper loads. Good luck.
