Default Parker Lifter firing Pins

Greetings all,
Just picked up a 12 gauge lifter built in 1876 but the left firing pin is broken. Does anyone have a parts gun that they could spare one from? I have the original pin and spring and I could have one made but I would like an original if possible.

Thank you!

Brian Dudley has recently taken on making these offset firing pins.

Usually not. Possibly a little for length. Varies some from gun to gun.

Save the remains of the broken firing pin to compare to the new one. This comes in handy when having to fit a top lever spring as well.

How do I go about paying? Do you accept credit cards or do I need to send a money order or check?

thanks!

First step would be to contact me privately and not conduct business on the open forum.

Hey Brian,
The lifter mechanism on this 12 gauge gun does not stay up when the barrels are opened or when you take them off the action. It stays in the fully downward position so when you try and put the barrels back on the action or close the gun you have to press the lifter to get the bolt to retract in order for the action to close. I have a 10 gauge lifter where the lifter stays up when the gun is opened and automatically released when you close the gun. Am I missing a part inside or was there a design change between 1876 and 1882?

thanks for your help.

I have asked a few Parker forum members but no one can tell me what is going on.

You were told what is going on in your other thread.

Here it is again... It is either a missing trip, missing trip spring, broken trip or broken trip spring. Or just a gummed up gun in need of a cleaning.
