Default Wirehaired Pointing Griffons

Hello everyone, I am looking for any leads on a breeder that deals with the wirehaired griffons. Anybody have any reliable leads I would really appreciate the info. Thanks in advance! Andy

Andy, Contact any NAVHDA (North American Versatile Hunting Dog Assoc) member. They should give you names of breeders in the NE. I am no longer a member, but I think Bill Murphy knows some of them. I had GWPs for years, and used to meet lots of Griffon owners at NAVHDA trials.
Happy New Year!

Default NAVHDA website

Andrew,
If you go to NAVHDA's website-www.navhda.org, you can search their database for litter registrations for the year to come up with WPG breeders, you can also check the Breeder Awards ( regular and Invitational) for those breeders whose litters did well in the years tests, and test scores. This information goes back several years so you should be able to come up with a line of dogs that has a proven track record. You can do this by individual breed to narrow your search to WPGs.
Good Luck
Tim

Just because I have a personal connection to these dogs, this may help you:

Good luck. My Wirehair, Eva, is from a NAVDHA litter. Yup, contact your local chapter for information.

I have had one for 8 years. Great dog for upland and waterfowl. Extreme cold weather dog. I bought from North Star Kennel in Kalamazoo, MI. I have another on order from him now. I have two other friends that bought here and are very pleased.

My good friend Mitchell has a great looking and performing Griffon from Wind Dancer Retrievers (winddancerretrievers.com) check them out.
He just got back from Kansas with George and had a successful trip.
