Punt Gun???

I hope so

reminds me of a story I read years ago about one of the early British African hunter in the 1800's. I do not remember which, but he had a very large bore gun he used only on the worst rouge elephants. When he fired it, he would get a bloody nose and have a headache for days.

I recall a photo of a 2 bore rifle that belonged to Selous or Baker. The buttstock was repaired or reinforced with rawhide strips.

I can shoot a .458 Winchester Magnum 16 times with 500 grain full house loads before I throw up. Not sure about a 2 bore!
