The Fox-Parker event qualifying will be shot Thursday and most likely up until 2:00-3:00 PM Friday with the shoot-off to follow shortly thereafter. We hope to have it all wrapped up by 5:00 Friday at the latest.

I would like to join the fun too! Do they have camping set up area? I may have to bring my Gordon setter with me.

Kenny, a few folks pitch tents up in the end of the parking field. No electricity, no water, no toilet facilities up there... and probably no open fires.

Allan McLane and I have camped twice. The first year we were the only ones there, several more last year. True tent camping beats a motel any day.

Apparently you do. My air mattress and cot are about as comfortable as it gets, and I'll take skeeters over bed bugs any day.

Yes I do. I have done all the wilderness camping I care to and have grown accustomed to the comforts in life bed bugs be damned! I know I won't get Lyme's disease

Last year we were joined by Matt Valinsky and Craig Smith, among others.

There's a big advantage to being able to nurse an adult beverage well into the evening with pleasant company and not having to worry about going anywhere else!

I had saved an article at one time- wish I could find it

the premise was that it was disrespectful to the author's ancestors to camp or sleep outdoors

he said that his ancestors had suffered and fought the elements and beasts for thousands of years so that he could sleep in a comfortable bed in an air conditioned or heated home and warm his food in a microwave.

and after all they went through he would not insult their memory by moving back to the woods
