Default Snipe 2017

Well got out today and got a taste of what it must have been like 114 years ago when a man in Orangeburg SC. took his Parker CHE 20ga out for the first time.I have been waiting for this day for over two years.Gun performed flawlessly. In fact first 6 shots put 4 birds down, lost one.It must have been something special back as it was today.
A little history for those who haven't seen this gun before.I found over 3 years ago at a gun show.Gun was in bad shape with some sort of replacement stock but all the original hardware minus finish engraving worn. After all how often does a CHE 20ga come along in one's life.
Anyhow Brian completed the job last spring and I have been waiting for this day since.
Did a short hunt today just get a feel for the old girl and knocked 6 down and left with 4.Going to go again tomorrow and give an update.
Oh and just add to the excitement of the day the first shot dropped a bird.Did miss a few but I think it was justified since its hard to take my off the gun.
Here a couple before and after(today's hunt) pictures.

Hunting the long barrels today by the looks of it.

Bob didnt mention that the gun is a 2 barrel set.

Sounds like a successful hunt to me.

Those were the 28" barrels if I remember I think imp/cyl and mod..Very nice handling gun.
Didn't get back out today hunting but did scout and found a few good sloughs with snipe.

Well after hearing about your hunt I felt bad for you. After shooting a buck Friday and getting some snipe action I was having a good week.
But I should have spoken up after your record time on a limit of doves with a strange gun.
Here it is again nice Florida Buck taken with Browning high wall 25-06
