Default Parker DHE Ejector problem

Well I went Trap shooting today for the first time with my new to me 1907, DHE ,#2 frame, 32" barrel 12ga. It shot like a dream as it fits me perfectly. I purchased through the mail on trade for a rifle and some Boot but believed that everything was in good working order. Once I fired a couple of shots I quickly realized that the ejectors were not working properly. Once I got home and looked at a few exploded views I realized that I have missing peices! Boooo. This sucks as if I only had broken parts I could make new ones. So now my search begins. I am wondering if I need exact parts for the ejectors? Or were parker ejectors roughly universal between gauge and frame size? With slight hand adjustments. ? Any help will be greatly appreciated. I live in Canada but have friends in the US who could except parts and see that I get them.

You will likely need to find/buy a complete forend iron for an ejector gun and cannibalize the guts. There are a few around from time to time but the parts will need fitting and timing.

Nearly all the parts have been gutted from the forend. Except for the trip slides in the sides of the iron. Someone did it in order to disable the ejectors. Too bad since all that is needed is the removal of two small screws. Not all of the parts.

Certainly a surprise if you think you bought a complete and operating gun.
And, yes it does operate as an extractor gun.

The ejector parts that you are missing are not gauge specific. So they will all work. However, they were all hand fitted. So getting them all working right would be a chore.

There are no schematics or service instructions out there for Parker ejector systems.

I will reply to your email you sent me to get you set up with some parts.

Daniel,

Go with Brian for the replacement and repair. Then you can't go wrong.

Can we see the rest of the gun? I'm a sucker for 32" DHEs.

Nice, English stock too! That's one I would expect to see without a safety.
