KU3 is very likely a Remington repair code, but much more likely for May 1927.

Default KU3 Stamp

This misunderstanding is mine.

The barrels belong to my 1895 Remington 1894 DE.

I instructed Bruce that the stamping indicated a return for repair "3" with the date code of "K" May, "U" ?

Researcher has the date code chart changed?

Bruce I am sorry for the mis-information.

I took the date from a chart on the RSA website earlier this year. Also, in the 2nd quarter 2000 RSA Journal in Jim Tipton's Model 11 article. It shows "V" for 1927 with the "U" being skipped only again to appear in 1971.

Obviously, it doesn't match what is now shown on the RSA website, which is just the opposite.

May of 1927 sounds better, though.

Thanks for the correction Dave.
