Default Fine English Twist

I was looking for a set of 1 frame hammer gun barrels for my 12 ga. I found a set on ebay for 66.00. The vague description listed them as project barrels. Turned out they are stub twist, 30 inch, with pitted bores, loose top rib. The chokes started 10 inches from muzzle. It seems to me someone would develope a way to crome line the barrel interiors. So my question is how did remington crome line thier barrels? Before or after construction? Dave
