Default Fox and Lefever

My CE Fox "Matilda" and a fairly new to me Syracuse Lefever GE literally jumped out of the safe this morning to start stretching their legs in prep for the Northeast SxS. Both are 12-gauge and I shot the same ammo in both, 1 ounce of 7-1/2's in front of Alliant E3 powder in Remington Gun Club hulls. About 1150 fps. Here's a quickie cell pic of both on the main course at the Rock. Matilada is an Ansley era gun, now 110 years old, and the Lefever is younger at 107, and both beat out the modern competition clays guns in the squad. I hope those planning on doing the Northeast are starting to dust off their guns.

I could make "Matilda" work. Nice wood and I like that long SFE. Nice guns...

Randy, good eyes. Matilda's forend is the longer length as on Fox XE's and higher grades but doesn't have the ebony tip.

I have always liked forends like that. Did that with my custom Sterly.

My Buckingham tribute Fox has an ivory forend tip, like Nash's gun.
