Default Smoke & Feathers

Cool video which I got in an email from Shooting Sportsman. This will get you all in the mood for duck season. Notice the muzzleloader which is why I chose "other fine doubles" to put this in.

nice tease, but of course it will not get near us in the north east

nice clear photography

I have wondered how well my 14ga percussion SxS would handle nice shot or bismuth.

The dogs looked like they were having a good time. This may be a dumb question but I will ask it any way. Do the dogs suffer hearing loss over time from all the shooting.

a dog's hearing is selective, like a teenager's

I would have thought so, and I think there must be some loss, I do not see how it wouldn't be.

But my dogs have heard and responded to voice commands and whistle until the end

the retriever I had sat there for three guys shooting over decoys and her hearing was ok, she passed at 13 years old

Just one of those things I have wondered about. Thought may be I could make some money selling ear plugs for retrievers.

My dog loves the sound of a gun going off and probably would not want anything between him and it.

Default Hearing Loss

Wayne, yes they do. This is the second most important reason pointing dogs are trained to be steady to wing and shot.

That's something I've never shot enough of, pintails.......

I've probably killed less than a dozen in my whole life.
