those are really nice guns...I have a early grade 4 lc smith I bougthem 30 inch barrels are ht several years ago but have not shot it in a while guess I need to get it out more often..those 30 inch barrels are just the right length....charlie.

Mine is not as nice as your's, but it's quite the shooter. I'm partial to the regular frame Smiths, especially ones with 28" barrels, pre 13. Smith engraving is 2nd to none.congratulations and enjoy, great addition!

My only Ideal is a 32" ten. I never appreciated the engraving before I found this gun. I think the very early Ideals have something the late ones don't have.
