Not too many according to the PGCA. 97170 was the next, any only, 28 gauge shown as production of 1900.

Welcome Marty!

97031 is not in TPS or the Ser. & ID Book.

97170 was the third 28 gauge of any grade ever made by Parker Bros. Forget about just 1900. It will likely have been built on a 0-Frame and is listed in TPS as a TI3 straight-grip with 26" barrels.

Please show us some pictures of your VH 28 ga. Parker. If it is in good original condition it is a very valuable Parker.

Thank you for your reply; it is a 26" barrel and it is on an O-frame. The gun was re-done years ago in Duluth, MN.....at the present time I have the gun in two places. It is getting restocked and I am also having the barrels looked at to see if I can get the pitting off of the rib. Unfortunately it does not look I will be able to get the pitting removed to get it back to looking original. Any ideas on where I may be able to find a used rib for the barrels? When the gun is back here in MN, I will post pictures. Again, thank you for your reply.
