It was a good deal, not one to buy and resell to make money

I was actually watching that one myself when it was around the $600 mark. It looked to be a fine little gun. I am sure that #1 frame made it nice to carry.

It is my impression that the market for collectable firearms is down about 30% from what it was several years ago. A firearm that I have that was valued at $3500 now is selling for $2500. A quality side by side that I paid $700 for last summer is now selling at $500. Looking at side by side shotguns on Gunbroker as see very few that have a bid, even the ones that seem to be reasonably priced. I think that we currently are in a buyer's market.

I agree. A lot of people with high price tags are sitting on them.

I was watching also. The 30 inch tubes kept me from getting excited. I have plenty of 30 inchers as that is most common. I would like to add a 1 frame 32 incher someday. That would be a lot of pretty damascus.

I too thought it sure enough in the money and bought it. I have never had a 12ga. on a #1 frame, have a 16 on a 1 frame, shells aren't always available in loads I will shoot, old gun looks clean enough. Mabee it will make a shooter, I have 3 guns 12ga on #2 frames and thought it might be half a pound lighter than the ones I have. Will post my inpression of the gun when it gets here if you guys are interested. Regards, John Hancock

If the Dow continues in the direction it went today I expect the buyer's market will soon become a seller's market.
