Default Parker - San Quentin Prison Guard Shotgun

I am looking for some information on a Parker shotgun that I inherited.
It is a Parker double barreled shotgun. It has dual triggers/hammers and I am guessing 18-20 inch barrels. What makes in unusual is that there is what appears to be a US Federal Shield on the neck of the stock. Also San Quentin Prison No 5 is stamped in the stock. Considering its age, I would say its in pretty good condition, it has the normal wear you would expect on a weapon that was handled a lot. Any information any one has on the weapon would be greatly appreciated.

You need to post a set of pictures of the gun for us. Sounds very interesting. Make sure to show the shield, the prison no., and the serial number and other markings on the bottom of the barrels and the tables on the receiver. You'll get all the help you need here. If you have trouble posting pictures our home page has a tutorial or someone will have you email them to them and they'll post them for you.

A PGCA letter may help to pin it down.

I think he is mistaking the "US Federal Shield" on the neck of the stock for the standard shield all Parker hammer guns have. A serial number is needed. It could be like all the Wells Fargo guns we see all the time that are faked but you never say never.

That's the standard shield that's on all Parker guns of this type. You didn't include pics of the prison markings which would be very helpful.
