Bill, that is exactly how I aquired many of the shells I have . A friend died and I was offered his shotgun shells at $40/ case including many cases of 16's, 28ga AA, and 410's. I bought over 20 cases. I hope John smiles everytime the clays break or feathers fly.

Fifteen dolars a box??? What are you buying at that price??

You can buy the best shotgun ammo available for $10 - $11 a box from RST. I don't reload and that's where I but most of my ammo.

RST will ship a flat to your door for about $10 in S&H. Go to their website for available loads and prices. You can spend $15 per box with RST but they have ammo a lot less expensive too.

I would not shoot Remington Express ammo out of any Parker or other SXS for that matter. Even if your gun was built at the end of production under Remington it's at least 70+ years old probably older. The ammo won't damage the barrels or metal but it's the wood that takes the brunt of the recoil.

Dean is right in that if your not going to reload buy the RST ammo by case lots. Shipping is a minor added expense and if you go to any of the SXS shoots such as the Southern, Vinatgers etc RST is there.

I load for everything and for years have only shot the 2 1/2 inch shells and have never felt underpowered for clays or game.
