The Brits had something with their 2 inch 12's. A 28ga load in a 12ga package it's just about as perfect as can be.

If I had to pick just one or two guns for all my upland gunning the meat gun would be right behind Gunner's Gun. I don't have any pictures of it but it's a DHE 20, straight grip with 26 inch bbls choked cyl/IC. Some day it will make the trip to Georgia.

Default All three of my CSMC Fox guns were engraved by..

The 28 gauge was built in 1997 engraved by Richard Roy, The 410 is of that same time period also Engraved by the Master...The gold setter is lifelike! Roys birds look like they could fly away. My special order XE-16 was by luck engraved by Richard Roy in 2015 a last minute change by the maker ...(-: I am thankful to own this trio of modern Fox guns. If I ever get to hunt Quail on one of those fancy southern plantations, all three will get their turn! So much hunting....so little time!!!

This is a fun thread and I thank all who have posted, great off season fun. I have added some pictures you may also enjoy....SXS Ohio

Oh ya....picture 3 2018 I just finished cleaning the rooster gun and took this shot of ruby sleeping after the hunt in Kansas. Its always about the dogs! She just had her 8th birthday Feb-5th 2019 She has hunted Kansas 7 falls of her life, we missed going to Kansas 2013 due to the 3-4 year drought that killed everything that grows by then, it was bad!. But in 2014 things started to get better and by this past season all was back to normal for the most part. We did see more Quail this past season than any other to date. SXS Ohio and Ruby the spoiled rottin Gordon setter from Wisconsin! (-:

I have 3 Parker guns that would fit in the quail gun category.
