Yes. Case colors and untimed hinge pin screw give it away.

I have been curious for years. Thanks, you really know your stuff. I have had Ansley Foxes, Browning, Weatherby and various other guns through the years, but was always reluctant to sell or barter this one. I only have 2 daughters so if someone can provide this old guy a range for when the family parts with it I would appreciate it.

Tim, I would shoot the hell out of that gun! Put a little wear on it - hunt with it - make it your "go to" gun for all occasions. You'll come to love it even more than you do now.

Dean is spot on. Shoot the snot out of it. There is nothing quite as nice a a 20 gauge Parker. I bet it is right at 6 pounds and handles like a dream. Please don't make this delightful shooter be a closet queen any longer. I am not sure of the value as I do not have my nose to the ground on such things. I would venture a guess at $2,500+- I have seen some VHE 20 Parkers for sale recently that were priced at twice that or better. Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can venture a value.
Kindest, Harry |

Thanks all for the kind words. My health unfortunately would not stand the rigors of the sport any longer.

Your restoration looks very much like the work of DelGrego. I just checked Guns America and found two VH 20 gauge Parkers. One is an oddity in that it has a steel butt plate and looks to have the receiver blued asking $2,800.00. The other looks honest with the exception of possibly re-blued barrels and has buggered screws asking $5,000.00. This isn't much help, but I'll try to check some recent auctions for a more valid value.

D grade or higher stock and lug looks like a sfe would be correct.
