Yup, an ounce and a half of #7.5 shot in a target load should get the job done

Hey guys, the Quality in is literally about 2 miles from Drake Landing, and Drake Landing is not that far from the Southern. I'd venture to say that you'd drive as far from Sanford to get to Deep River as you would from Fuquay-Varina. You can jump on Highway 42 in Fuquay and head straight to Deep River.

As for Ruth Chris Steakhouse, it's directly across the street from where I work in Cary. Rich is correct, that from Fuquay it would take closer to an hour to get there (probably 45 - 50 minutes).

We ended up canceling this weekend's Drake Landing shoot altogether unfortunately. Lot's of people had things come up at the last minute, and the weather here today was severe Thunderstorms and a Tornado Warning. I'll likely go shoot tomorrow as it will be 70 degrees, but it won't be the same. I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone in April!

Rich, hope your shirt arrived?

Mike

Went shooting at Drake Landing on Saturday, and as I was finishing up, Dan Andrews flagged me down and asked me if I had my camera phone, and a few minutes to spare. He wanted to show me the new sporting clays course, and asked me to take some pictures to get you guys really fired up for April. It's not finished yet, but he's very close. It should be completed by mid March for an upcoming event. This is a sample of the stations, but not all of them. It's going to be AWESOME, and you won't believe the variation in elevation throughout the course.

This might be the coolest station on the course. You'll stand and shoot over the stone wall at birds close to, or on the ground.

The best part is that Dan is planning to reserve this course for more experienced shooters. If you need a safety briefing, or haven't shot much before, you'll be directed to shoot the old course. Dan has spared no expense with this new course, and it shows.

Thanks Mike I'm looking forward to this and to shooting the new course. Just so everyone knows this is a SECOND 100 target course so we will have ample opportunity to shoot.
