Default Early DH

I've been looking around for typical engraving patterns for the EARLY DH guns meaning 1888-1890 .

Any sources I can avail myself ?

The ones in the grade section of this website don't appear to be the earlier style and didn't see any pictures in the two volume set under grades ,

If you look through the 26 pages of Who Let the Dogs out. You will find some good examples.

Here is one that doesn't quite fall in that 88-90 range. It's a 1894. I would like to have a early one with 3-dogs.

No I was just curiouse ! The DH I have at the house is well worn and the one I should have in a couple weeks I never got a real good look . Both were manufactured in 1889 .

I think this is what I was after, it’s a 56,000 gun .

Craig. The one I showed is 55804

The sides seem to be fairly standard but the floor engraving varies
