Default DH engraved oval

Hi, I have a couple DH model Parkers. Both have silver colored engraver ovals. I recently have seen some DHs for sale with gold ovals. Is this common and correct? An option? Just want to be sure regarding originality.

Thx

DH and CH Parkers would have Nickel-Silver (or German Silver) ovals.
Depending on the finish used, they can look goldish in color. Maybe that is what you are seeing. ?

Both of my DHs have as you describe- nickel or German silver. No gold cast at all. What I have seen for sale is clearly gold. Bright gold. Must be non original?
Thx

Highly unlikely they were originally ordered with gold ovals - especially if they were not engraved.

Ok. The one I’ve seen is engraved. But never seen another like it

Where else have I seen that recently?? Just a week or so ago...

It's a presentation gun in any case.

So that’s original? Looks gold to me? Just trying to learn the anomalies. Thx
