Default How do you carry your shells afield ?

I was looking for something to carry my 8 gauge and 10 gauge shells in, I knew I wanted something made from green canvas as I think it looks best with a double . I found these waxed canvas ammo pouches with belt loops for $21 I think I paid . I ordered 2 Friday and got them today so the shipping was pretty quick . They will hold 15 8 gauge shells uncrimped pretty easily , I will see how many 10 gauge shells they hold when my RST order comes in .

Most of the canvas ammo pouches/bags I looked at were shaped for putting a whole box in of 12 gauge or 20 gauge so that wouldnt work for me . Besides I didnt want something square and stiff on my side . I think 15 shells is more than enough for the 8 gauge .

I just need to get around to ordering a powder measure and some shot . I'm thinking of putting a linger lever on the arbor press for a bit more leverage . I ordered some imperial sizing wax last week, should be here soon .

I usually just stuff a couple handfuls in my vest pockets but those bags are pretty cool!

I'm a big fan of the old green/olive canvas especially on gun cases . I like the more traditional hunting clothes/accessories.

I bought two bags one for me and my older brother now he's not really into vintage doubles but he held my 10 ga 3 frame and said "I bet this would be amazing to dove hunt with" .

Charlie there a vintage 8 gauge roll crimper on eBay, it was at 50$ this morning and well we drove it up to 400$ in about 30 mins haha. I tapped out around 380$ , I really wanted one because I read the old school ones make a nicer crimp and I like the old stuff .
