Default New (to me) 28 gauge 2 barrel set

I just acquired this set on gunbroker
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/Vie...Item=307226975
He kept dropping the price by $100 increments until I couldn't stand it anymore

I generally don't use a beavertail but the general consensus here is that it is desirable since the 28 barrels are so small, we will see. My other 28g guns are a Beretta EELL, the old sig TR40 and a Spanish SXS. I use them for doves and quail in the Southwest.

Congratulations! Neat gun and great buy! I sure like my Repro 28 with the 28" barrels for dove.

I know what you mean about him continuously lowering the price $100. Just so much a man can take before he gives in.

Best,

Mike

Very well bought! Congratulations!

Interesting to note that your barrel sets have the Q1/Q2 set of barrels stamped #1 between the barrel lugs and the M/F set stamped #2. Whereas, my 28-ga. 2-bbl. set are stamped on the bottom of the forend lug with the M/F set #1 and the Q1/Q2 set stamped #2.

A pretty astounding buy considering what these were selling for a few years ago. Congratulations.

This gentleman absolutely gave away a great 12 gauge and is selling a 20 gauge for a price anyone would pay. Get on it.

I have the same set, but with DT's. I don't mind the BTFE, as you said the barrels are quite small. That being said, I would like to have a SF as a second for end just in case.

Thanks all, I've been watching these for a while and thought it was a good buy. I also wouldn't mind a splinter foreend as well but beggars can't be choosers. I am still waiting for it to get to the FFL, it's like waiting for Christmas.

The beavertail on the 28s look just great in my opinion. Any other guage they are always too large. I think you will love it once you see it. Glad to see the sad economy has made another person happy. The investmnent gun buyers don't like whats happening though.
