Default A little help

I hope I'm in the right place. I've recently acquired a 1906 VHE on a 1 1/2 frame with 3 10 barrels in 12 gauge. It has a few simple issues and I'm wondering if there's a manual for repair work. The latch on the forearm seems it's lost its spring. The left ejector doesn't move but the right moves a little. And the safety button sometimes moves sometimes it won't. I have some mechanical skills and have worked on some of my other guns, just need to know where to start.

There is no “manual” for repair work.

Your gun likely could start with a good thorough cleaning.

If you go to the PGCA Home page, in the left column, click on technical info. It will at least show some schematics and other info, but no how to repair. I have seen some smiths in NC recommended for Parker repair, but cant remember any names. Perhaps someone will soon chime in with a recommendation.

as Brian says, no manual - but he has created some very helpful albums for us on this

boardhttps://parkerguns.org/forums/album.php?albumid=307 will help you get the action off so that you can clean it

Parker actions take some experience to take apart,

as Mark Twain said - good judgement comes from experience, most experience comes from bad judgement - I keep a magnet around for flying parts

I realize I may have to use a good gunsmith but the issues it has seem simple, although I'm sure it isn't. This being my first Parker I want it right so I can get the real experience of a good sxs. Anyone know of a good smith in NC?

Larry,
The forend latch issue is simple replacement. The hard part is finding a spring.
The ejector issue is Far from simple!! The safety issue, diagnosis and repair, requires the receiver removed from the stock. There is guidance in the Q&A section here.

Larry, take Dr. Bob's advice. Don't fool around with your Parker. Call Bill Graham and make arrangements to have him strip it down, clean it and repair and or replace any missing parts. Or ship it to Brian Dudley.

Thanks guys I talked to Mr Graham today. Super helpful, patient with a sxs newbie and we will be doing business as soon as I can get that way. I do not want to take a chance, I want it to be right when I start putting it through its paces. Thanks again for all the advice.

Thanks again guys. Dropped her off today with Mr Graham and what a wealth of knowledge. My 1 1/2 frame barrels are made by wk (?), very minor bugering of a few screws, they are timed right, the chambers are opened to 2 3/4, he said done very well. He told me more but I can't remember it all. So he's going to fix it up so I can get at it. It doesn't appear that it will be choked effectively enough to use on waterfowl outside of a beaver pond, but we'll see.
