In these parts, people have very elaborate fences to keep the deer out. Without fences in some areas, there would be no crops for the doves to eat.

You can put fences up here for the deer but the hogs don't really care for the fence.
In other words the hogs will go thru anything you put up.There is not a fence man can build that will hold a hog.
Luckily the number of deer per acre is not that high down here.
But hogs are another thing.

Fortunately, the places I hunt don't have hog problems. They are a real menace in places where they are prevalent.

Staples of our diet seems like.But luckily we have a good wild quail population,snipe,dove,duck and back to the deer.So we balance the diet out.

Checking around dove field today and ran into these rascals.August 4th in south Florida and I got 6 to 8 week old poults running around.
