Default It's that time!

Scraped the first frost off the windshield this morning while loading the truck for duck camp. Our opener is tomorrow. A warning for you down south. Our geese were gathering and heading south almost a month early this year, which usually means that they know something that we don't....

They've been flocking up early here in northern Alberta as well. Our first frost was on August 22nd, just too darn early. The leaves are turning colour too, possibly getting less than half our usual precipitation has contributed to that though. Think I'll have to take a few hours off in the morning before work and go grouse hunting for the opener.

Way down here in SC, I am already seeing some very early migrants. Our early Teal season opens on the 11th and seeing some teal and large ducks now. No snow, but plenty of mosquitos, snakes and gators.

I'm really looking forward to frost on the windshield again!

(Of course I certainly hope we don't see another winter here in the Northeast like last winter)

Not me! If you like your frost, you can keep your frost.

Good luck today Richard. Hunt safe & shoot true.

Much better to keep ones car in a heated garage and not deal with frost --
